CONVENTION REGISTRATION TERMS & INSTRUCTIONS

Please follow rules and instructions carefully. Failure to comply with instructions may result in registration and/or competition submission to be rejected, loss of points or disqualification.

PLEASE NOTE:

PRE-REGISTRATION IS STRONGLY ADVISED!
• New Registration on first morning of convention cannot be guaranteed.
• Registrations are non-cancelable and non-refundable.
• Registrations will be limited and cut-off may occur if quota is reached before the cut-off date.
• NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 3 ALLOWED INTO ANY CLASSROOM

REFUND POLICY:

Once registered, NO REFUNDS will be authorized.

REGISTRATION LEVELS & BENEFITS:

TEACHER/STUDIO OWNER/MANAGER TUITION INCLUDES:
• Dance in Teacher ballroom
• Dance in other ballrooms if space is available.
• Special Studio Business Forum (teachers only).
• Observe auditions with Enter & Exit Privileges.

*Any Teacher registering as an Assistant Teacher, Student or Observer will be asked to pay the Teacher Fee or they will be asked to leave.

ASSISTANT TEACHER TUITION INCLUDES:
• Dance in Teacher ballroom
• Dance in other ballrooms if space is available.
• Eligible to compete in Competition (if registered for the full convention. Must pre-register).
• Observe auditions (must be on time for admittance).
• Audition for scholarships (must be on time for admittance).

SENIOR, TEEN & JUNIOR STUDENT TUITION INCLUDES:
• Dance in respective ballrooms only
• Eligible to compete in Competition (must be pre-registered for the full convention).
• Eligible to audition for Scholarships (if registered for the full convention. Must be on time for audition).

OBSERVER TUITION:
• Paid Observers allowed with Paid Students only!
—–*NO Teachers, Dancers, Studio Owners, or Managers may register as Observers.
• Paid Observers may observe all classes in Student Ballrooms Only.
—–No Observers in Teacher Ballroom.
• NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 3 ALLOWED INTO ANY CLASSROOM

CONFIRMATION EMAIL:

• A confirmation email will be sent to each Studio or Independent Registrant upon receipt of tuition.
PLEASE CHECK THIS EMAIL CAREFULLY. This email will allow you to confirm with our Pre-Registration Staff that your registration and competition entries are correct.
• If it is incorrect in any way, please contact the Tremaine office at 1-800-832-2050 immediately to correct.
• This email will also act as a Receipt of Payments made for your records.
• Bring a copy of your email to the Pre-Registration Desk on the first morning of the convention when you pick up your Registration Packet.
• You must sign for your Registration packet as verification that you’ve received all the necessary materials.
—–*Any discrepancies must be handled before you leave the Registration Desk.
—–*No changes will be made to your verified registration materials after you leave the Registration Desk.

ON SITE REGISTRATION AVAILABILITY:

• Call the Tremaine Office one day prior to the convention to check possibility of On Site Registration.
Please Note: On Site Registration is Never Guaranteed and may be Sold Out.

VIDEO RECORDING DEVICES & CAMERA EQUIPMENT PROHIBITED:

• Video recording devices are prohibited at the CONVENTION and COMPETITION.
• No camera equipment allowed in ballroom area or competition. It is dangerous to the audience. (example: tripods)
• Regular flash photos are allowed.
• NO SELFIE STICKS ALLOWED.

WRISTBANDS:

• WRISTBANDS MUST BE ATTACHED ON WRISTS PROPERLY FOR ENTRANCE.
• BE ADVISED: Wristbands are non-transferable and are not to be removed for the duration of the convention.
• Wristbands lost or removed require Full Repayment of Registration Fee.
• NO REFUNDS – NO EXCEPTIONS.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

• Any JR, TN, SR and Asst. Teacher attendees registered for the FULL convention are eligible to audition for and/or receive, the various scholarships available in each city.
Dancers eligible to receive each available scholarship ONLY ONCE in each Age Division. Duplicate scholarships invalid.
Please Note: Scholarship Auditions are held by age, not registration band color. Dancers could, based on their age, audition in a ballroom different from their actual classroom.
• NO SIGN-UP LIST. NO FEE. NO AUDITION NUMBERS.
• Only Auditioning Dancers, Teachers & Asst. Teachers are allowed in the audition.
—–*Dancers not auditioning must vacate the room.
• Paid Observers Not Allowed in Auditions.
• AUDITIONS START PROMPTLY
—–*Be in appropriate ballroom for the audition prior to the start time.
—–*Only Registered Teachers may enter after the doors close
—–*NO EXCEPTIONS FOR ANY REASON
• EXITING THE AUDITION FOR ANY REASON – No Re-Entry into the Ballroom until the audition is over.
• Scholarship Winners will be announced at the Faculty Show on the last day.
* DANCERS MUST BE PRESENT AT FACULTY SHOW TO WIN SCHOLARSHIP.
• All Scholarships valid for 1 year from date awarded.
• All Scholarships limited to Tuition Only.
• Scholarship are NON-TRANSFERABLE and have NO EXTENSIONS.
• All Audition Scholarships valid for tuition at all Tremaine Dance Conventions, including National Finals Convention.
• You must PRE-REGISTER for the convention(s) where you choose to utilize your scholarship.
• Scholarships NOT ACCEPTED for On-Site Registration.

NO LUGGAGE IN THE BALLROOMS:

• No Luggage or large items allowed in the Ballrooms due to safety concerns.
• All dance bags, ice chests, etc., must fit under hotel chairs in compliance with Fire Marshall Regulations.

NO OUTSIDE CHAIRS ALLOWED IN BALLROOOMS OR CONVENTION AREAS

CHAPERONES:

• Are required for all dancers age 15 and under who are staying at the hotel.
• All dancers must wear cover-ups when leaving ballroom area.
• We ask everyone’s cooperation in respecting the privacy of other hotel guests and all hotel property. Your cooperation will allow Tremaine Dance Conventions to continue to use the finest hotels in the country for our conventions.

CODE OF CONDUCT:

Tremaine Dance Conventions, Inc. Management reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or to remove anyone who is disruptive, unruly or displays rude, unacceptable behavior—to be determined at Director’s sole discretion.
