Originally from Magna, Utah, Tommy began dancing at age 13 with local dance teacher Virginia McDonald and at age 20 began his professional dance career with “Disney On Parade,” touring worldwide for five years.
After Disney, he became one of Ann-Margret’s back up dancers for 14 years, performed with her at her famous Radio City Music Hall concert, and was one of the founding members of the dance group “Raw Satin.” During this time, he was also the Choreographer for the film “Joe vs. The Volcano”with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, and the Associate Choreographer for “Supermodel of the World,” “Opryland Celebrates 200 Years of American Music”and the film “Beaches” with Bette Midler.
Tommy has danced on the Emmy Awards and the Academy Awards and has won an Emmy Award as Associate Choreographerfor “Liberty Weekend – Closing Ceremonies, July 6, 1986,” the televised centennial celebration and unveiling of the refurbished Statue of Liberty. He started with Tremaine Dance Conventions as our first full time Convention Manager from 1987-89 and has been our Administrative Director since 1991. As many of you know, and as anyone who has worked for Tremaine knows, Tommy is one of a kind and we are so very happy that he is part of our organization. He can still be seen dancing for very special events.
