2020-21 SAFETY GUIDELINES & PROTOCOLS

GENERAL

  • COVID-19 WAIVERS to be signed by all attendees as part of the registration process
  • THERMAL TEMPERATURE CHECKS will be taken by ballroom door guards before the first class each day
  • TEMPERATURE – No entry if you have a temperature
  • EXPERIENCING COVID/FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS – Please stay home
  • MASKS REQUIRED in all public areas, convention areas & classrooms (See dancer exception below)
  • NO MASK = NO ENTRY! NO EXCEPTIONS
  • WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN
  • HAND SANITIZER will be available at ballroom entrances
  • SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED


BALLROOMS

  • LIMITED CAPACITY in ballrooms
  • DANCE SPACE – Ballrooms will be divided to indicate 6 foot socially distanced areas
  • WATER STATIONS IN BALLROOMS will not be provided, please come prepared
  • PERIMETER CHAIRS will not be permitted in Ballrooms
  • OBSERVERS – No paid observer wristbands available. Each studio will receive two complimentary badges for entrance to the junior ballroom that may be shared by different chaperones throughout the day.
  • BALLROOM DOORS will remain open throughout the day for increased ventilation
  • MASKS – Mask may be removed by dancers when distanced in the classroom


CLASSES

  • SCHEDULE – Classes will begin and end in each classroom on different schedules to avoid gatherings
  • FACULTY AUTOGRAPHS AND PHOTOS will not be possible due to social distancing
  • WARM-UP will be conducted by individual faculty members in each ballroom
  • AUDITIONS – Scholarship Auditions will be held by REGISTRATION BAND COLOR. Regardless of age, dancers will audition in the ballroom they are registered in.
  • SCHOLARSHIPS – Recipients will be announced at the end of the audition or during the last class on Sunday
  • FACULTY SHOW – No live show. A pre-recorded faculty finale will be streamed – More details to come


COMPETITION

  • SCHEDULE – Lineup will either be scheduled for 1 studio at a time or in groups of 2-3 studios at a time
  • FRIDAY COMPETITION will depend on whether competition is individual studios or two to three alternating
  • DRESSING ROOMS will be a shared room (2-3 studios) or as an individual room based on space available
  • LIVE STREAM – All competitions will be live streamed free for guests to watch
  • AUDIENCE SEATING – At this time we will not have a live audience however we will keep you updated if guidelines change
  • MUSIC – Competition music must be uploaded via registration site
  • MASKS will not be necessary when competing unless a dancer wants to wear one. (No points will be deducted)
  • AWARDS – No Live ceremony. All awards will be announced during the competition virtually via live stream
  • VIDEOS & PHOTOS will be available via TremaineDance.com only


REGISTRATION

  • ONLINE ONLY – Registration and payments (credit card only) will be accepted via your online account at TremaineDance.com
  • PAYMENTS – Registration & Competition fees will not be accepted until 14 Days Prior to the Event (Tremaine credits accepted)
  • CAPACITY – Please register early, capacity is limited due to COVID-19 restrictions
  • CHANGES – No updates or changes made at the convention
  • REGISTRATION AT CONVENTION is not recommended or guaranteed
  • NO LINES – No registration lines in the lobby
  • TEACHER PACKETS – Registration packets will be available for teacher pickup at the Tremaine registration table outside of the ballroom
  • REFUNDS – Once registered, NO REFUNDS will be authorized, unless event is canceled due to COVID-19. In which case, Full Refund within 7-10 Business Days.


GATHERINGS
No gatherings in the pre-function/registration and lobby areas

  • SCHEDULE – Classes will begin and end in each classroom on different schedules to avoid gatherings
  • MERCHANDISE will be available via TremaineDance.com only
  • VIDEOS & PHOTOS will be available via TremaineDance.com only
  • CHAIRS – No chairs permitted in ballrooms, pre-function or registration area
  • OBSERVERS – No paid observer wristbands available. Each studio will receive two complimentary badges for entrance to the junior ballroom that may be shared by different chaperones throughout the day.
  • COMPETITION AUDIENCE or FACULTY SHOW – No combined gathering of all dancers/guests in one room


*****For the Safety of All Attendees, Tremaine Dance reserves the right to refuse entry or remove a guest who is NOT adhering to the safety measures

including but not limited to wearing a Mask, and/or Social Distancing. Any guest having a temperature, and/or exhibiting flu-like Symptoms will need to
immediately leave the event and alert us of those they have come in contact with during the event so we can take appropriate action.
